		<description>I tend to agree that it&#039;s old, kludgy and kind of gnarly in general.   I mostly wanted to include that because in my day-to-day I tend to run into quite a few older BSD boxes pre-portsnap.  I include it moreso for legacy systems than anything new.   

I&#039;ll edit the post though to reflect that as I think you&#039;re right and I don&#039;t make that distinction there.    Thanks for pointing that out. :)</description>

Why would you install a port when you already have a tool in the base system?

Instead of running cvsup simply just run csup /root/ports-supfile</description>
